Diamond Certification ~ Essential for Your Peace of Mind |
|
 |
|
| |
| Providing high quality diamonds is a service in which My Diamonds are supremely confident. But to ensure your own peace of mind when purchasing the diamond of your dreams, each diamond is accompanied by it's own unique certificate. |
| |
| Already you will have decided that the diamond you have chosen is perfect for you. At www.mydiamonds.com.au each beautiful piece has been showcased for the quality of the stone, the meticulous attention to detail which has been used to craft each diamond and for the design of your chosen piece of engagement or wedding jewellery. |
| |
But there is of course, another consideration. You have to feel secure about your purchase. Happy in the knowledge that the diamond you have purchased is the one that you ultimately own. To ensure this criteria is met, GIA, the world's foremost authority in gemology, provides a unique certificate for each diamond. This world esteemed organisation has developed the 4C's and the International Diamond Grading System TM. This is the globally recognised grading standard that all world class and responsible jewellers recognise and adopt as the benchmark for their diamonds.
My Diamonds, www.mydiamonds.com.au is one of those jewellers. |
| |
| Considering the 4C's when purchasing your diamond will ensure that you buy the perfect stone for your needs because it is applied to every diamond. The 4C's refers to Cut, Clarity, Carat Weight and Colour. My Diamonds offer customers diamonds that have been graded using this criteria, that is trusted and utilised by dependable diamond retailers. Below is an overview of the 4C's:~ |
| |
• The GIA Cuts Scale ranges from excellent to poor
• The GIA Clarity Scale ranges from flawless to 12.
• The GIA Carat Weight. One carat equals 200 milligrams in weight
• The GIA Colour Scale ranges from colourless (D) to light yellow or brown (Z) |
| |
| When a diamond has been assessed and graded by GIA, a dossier is then put together which clearly marks the attributes of the diamond. When you purchase your diamond, you will receive the certificate or dossier with the diamond. If you purchase a diamond and the dossier or certificate does not accompany it, then it is imperative that you contact the retailer from where you purchased your diamond. This is the only guarantee that your diamond is the diamond that you purchased. You will also require your certificate or dossier for insurance purposes. |
| |
The safest way to purchase the most beautiful and professionally graded diamonds is to choose from the showroom at www.mydiamonds.com.au. The artisan diamond professionals at
My Diamonds, will have cut the stone with all the right combinations to ensure that it is perfectly balanced, with that stunning combination of 'brilliance and fire'. |
| |
| A Diamond Dossier will be attributed to each diamond between 0.50ct and 0.99ct and the dossier or certificate number will be laser inscribed on the diamond's girdle. Larger diamonds above 1.00ct are often inscribed with their own unique number, meaning that the diamond you choose is beautifully and artistically cut from diamonds of the greatest quality. |
| |
| Although GIA carry out many of the certifications for My Diamonds diamonds, gradings are also carried out by HRD, AGS and IGI. My Diamonds advise their clients to purchase diamonds that have been certificated by these organisations. |
| |
