What is a lab-grown diamond?
A lab-grown diamond is a genuine diamond. It is pure carbon, with the same crystal structure, the same hardness, 10 on the Mohs scale, the hardest of any material, and the same brilliance, fire and scintillation as a diamond formed in the earth. It is not a diamond simulant: a lab-grown diamond is nothing like cubic zirconia or moissanite, which are different materials that only resemble diamond. "Lab-grown", "lab-created" and "lab-made" all mean the same thing, a real diamond, grown rather than mined.
