Diamonds of 0.50 carats or more will be accompanied with a Diamond Laboratory Certificate from a totally independent and respected Diamond Laboratory. An additional Valuation Certificate states the dollar value and is not a Diamond Laboratory Certificate.
For added protection when making your diamond purchase, payment to Australian businesses can be made by using credit cards, such as Visa, Master Card, American Express, JBC or Union Pay. These companies have specific agreements with diamond merchants selling online, or by telephone. Many companies sell items sight unseen to clients and you have the highest protection when purchasing from Monroe Yorke Diamonds.
I want to have my piece of diamond jewellery custom made. Can Monroe Yorke Diamonds do this for me?

How can I be assured that the diamond I have chosen and paid for will be the one I receive?
All of the diamonds that Monroe Yorke Diamonds sell are fully certified by GIA (Gemological Association of America). Each diamond is given either a Diamond Grading Report or Diamond Dossier, which includes the "4Cs" (Cut, Colour, Clarity and Carat Weight) and the identifying characteristics and proportion details of your chosen diamond. The certificate number is also laser inscribed on the girdle of the diamond. In addition all diamond jewellery purchased from Monroe Yorke Diamonds is checked against its certificate, and is accompanied by an independent jewellery valuation certificate. NO extra fee is charged for independent valuations.

Do you sell fancy coloured diamonds?
These diamonds are rare and can be supplied for specific orders. Please discuss your requirements with your Diamond Consultant.
Does Monroe Yorke Diamonds sell uncertified diamonds?
Diamonds up to 0.29 carats are generally uncertified. Diamonds over 0.30 carats are always certified. Selected diamonds up to 0.29 carats are certified.
Can you deliver to an address other than my billing address?
Yes. Please inform the Diamond Consultant that you wish to make alternative arrangements for delivery. You will receive the courier dispatch and tracking number details for the delivery.

How long does it take for a diamond specialist to get back to me when I submit a request online?
If you submit your request during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, you should receive a response within a few hours. If your request is received out of business hours, our specialist will contact you immediately, on the next business day. Our telephone lines are of course open during business hours and this is the fastest way to speak with one of our specialists.
What are the standard metals used in Australia in jewellery making?
In Australia we use Platinum, 9 carat and 18 carat white, rose and yellow gold. 14 carat and 10 carat are generally used for the American market. We can custom make jewellery in any metal quality including 22 carat gold.
What is a master jeweller?
At Monroe Yorke Diamonds we use master jewellers to design and craft all of our jewellery, so you can be assured that when you purchase your jewellery, you will be receiving diamond jewellery of the very highest quality. Our head master craftsman has been designing and making jewellery for over 30 years and has made some of the most exquisite jewellery in the world. He has the experience and knowledge to ensure that our customers are always delighted with their pieces and that his craftsmanship will be passed onto to our other master jewellers
Many diamond merchants do not use master jewellers, and choose instead to purchase imported pre made designs to sell onto you. At Monroe Yorke Diamonds, we are proud to say that our diamond jewellery is unique and made in Australia.

The majority of insurance companies require you to have a valuation certificate for your jewellery, in order to compensate you correctly in the event of loss. It also acts as a proof of ownership.
