A unique halo, set beneath the centre diamond rather than around it
Alexa is a unique diamond engagement ring, and the halo is the reason. On almost every halo ring the small diamonds sit level with the centre stone and ring it like a border. On Alexa the halo sits underneath. It is set below the girdle, so the centre diamond overhangs it and roughly half the halo disappears behind the stone. What you see from above is a thin bright edge that follows the outline of the centre diamond, not a separate ring of stones around it.
That one change does two things. The centre stone reads wider, because the halo you can see extends its outline rather than sitting apart from it. And from the side the ring keeps a clean profile, since the halo is tucked into the setting instead of sitting proud of it. It is the detail people notice when they pick the ring up, and it is why we call this a unique halo rather than a halo.
The halo is micro claw set, sixteen to twenty small round diamonds. Each is F or G colour if you choose natural, D or E if you choose lab grown, all VS clarity. The band underneath is left plain and polished, and that is deliberate. With no stones on the shoulders there is nothing competing with the head, and the ring stays easy to wear and easy to clean.
The setting head is white gold or platinum on every version, including the yellow and rose gold bands. A white metal under a diamond reflects less colour into the stone, so the centre reads whiter. You choose the band colour: 14ct or 18ct gold in white, yellow or rose, or 950 platinum. Monroe Yorke is engraved on the band.
Choose a natural centre diamond, GIA certified, or lab grown, IGI certified. Both are sourced at the highest cut grade their respective labs award. The price difference between natural and lab grown is typically forty to sixty per cent at the same carat weight.
