A gold bracelet sits in the same daily-jewellery category as a wedding ring or a chain. Worn against the wrist, brushed by every shirt cuff and watch strap, it is one of the most-touched and most-seen pieces a person owns. The choice deserves more than forty minutes of catalogue scrolling.

Our gold bracelet edit is made in Italy by master goldsmiths from 100% certified Australian gold. Italy has been the world's centre for fine gold chain and bracelet manufacturing for centuries, the place where the techniques behind every Belcher, Curb, Figaro and Paper Clip were perfected. Australian gold is among the most ethically sourced and verifiably traceable gold in the world, refined through Perth Mint and Royal Australian Mint chains-of-custody. We bring the two together so the bracelet you wear is made by the people who do this best, from gold whose origin you can trace.

Every bracelet is solid 9ct or 18ct yellow gold. Sized to standard Australian wrist lengths, with custom lengths available on request. Generally in stock and shipped within 5 to 7 business days. A short guide to the five styles

Choosing your bracelet style.

Five chain forms in the bracelet edit, each with a different read on the wrist. A short guide to help you choose.

Style · i

Belcher

2 bracelets

The classic round-link bracelet, also called rolo. Each link is a thick circular loop joined to the next. Sits flat against the wrist, catches light from every angle. The safest first solid gold bracelet and the most-recommended style for layering with a watch.

Style · ii

Curb &Flat Curb

6 bracelets

Interlocking flat links lying parallel to the wrist. The traditional men's gold bracelet shape, increasingly worn by women for its weight and clean horizontal line. Available in standard Diamond Cut, Flat Curb and elongated Flat Curb Long. Diamond Cut versions are hand-faceted for additional sparkle.

Style · iii

Figaro

2 bracelets

An alternating long-and-short link pattern, typically 1+3, the Italian classic. Often worn as a stand-alone statement bracelet rather than stacked. The flat diamond-cut finish presses each link flat and hand-facets the surface for extra sparkle.

Style · iv

HollowRope

2 bracelets

Twisted strands of fine gold forming a textured, rope-like surface. The hollow construction makes the bracelet lighter than it looks, which is what makes it feel substantial without weighing the wrist down. The diamond-cut finish multiplies the way it catches light.

Style · v

Paper Clip

3 bracelets

Elongated rectangular links joined end to end. The contemporary bracelet of the last decade, equally at home on men and women. Standard Paper Clip is mirror-polished for clean restraint; Diamond Cut Paper Clip hand-facets each link for additional sparkle.

Master jeweller notes

How to choose your bracelet.

01

Gold purity: 9ct or 18ct

9ct gold is 37.5% pure gold, alloyed with stronger metals for hardness. It's the most practical choice for everyday bracelet wear because the harder alloy holds up better to the friction of cuffs, watch straps and desks. 18ct gold is 75% pure gold, with the deeper warmer colour and weight that 9ct can't match. For a bracelet worn most days, 9ct is the practical choice. For a bracelet worn as a statement piece or stacked with a watch, 18ct rewards the upgrade.

02

Weight and: width

Bracelet weight (measured in millimetres of link width) determines how the piece reads on the wrist. Under 2mm: fine, layerable, comfortable under shirt cuffs. 2 to 3mm: everyday-visible, the right weight for most women's daily wear. 3 to 5mm: confident statement, suited to wearing solo or with a watch on the same wrist. 5mm and over: significant presence, traditionally men's but increasingly worn by women for the weight.

03

Length and: fit

Australian standard bracelet lengths fit most adult wrists: women's typically 18 to 19cm, men's typically 20 to 21cm. The right length sits comfortably without slipping over the wrist bone, with about one finger of room when fastened. If you're unsure, measure your wrist with a soft measuring tape and add 1.5cm for daily comfort, 2cm for looser drape. Custom lengths are available on any of our bracelets with a 2 to 3 week lead time.

Frequently asked

Questions, answered.

Six things people ask most about solid gold bracelets.

Where are Monroe Yorke gold bracelets made?
Our gold bracelets are made in Italy by master goldsmiths, from 100% certified Australian gold. Italy is the world's leading centre for fine gold bracelet manufacturing; Australian gold is among the most ethically and verifiably sourced gold in the world. We bring the two together so the bracelet you wear is made by the people who do this best, from gold whose origin you can trace.
Is the gold solid or plated?
Every bracelet in the collection is solid 9ct or 18ct yellow gold throughout. Not plated, not gold-filled, not vermeil. Solid gold doesn't tarnish, doesn't wear thin, and doesn't expose a base metal underneath as the surface ages. It is the only metal worth wearing daily on the wrist where friction and skin contact are constant.
9ct or 18ct: which should I choose for a bracelet?
9ct gold (37.5% pure) is harder and more affordable per gram, which makes it the practical choice for everyday bracelets that take friction from cuffs and watch straps. 18ct gold (75% pure) has a deeper warmer colour and more weight in the hand, and is the right choice for statement bracelets or bracelets worn alongside other gold pieces where colour-matching matters.
How long does delivery take?
Most bracelets are in stock and ship within 5 to 7 business days, fully insured anywhere in Australia. Custom lengths or specific finish requests take an additional 2 to 3 weeks. If a particular bracelet is currently unavailable, we'll let you know the lead time at the point of order.
What length bracelet should I buy?
Australian standard adult bracelet lengths are 18 to 19cm for women and 20 to 21cm for men. The simplest way to find your size is to measure your wrist with a soft measuring tape (or a strip of paper) and add 1.5cm for daily comfort, 2cm for a looser drape. Custom lengths are available on any of our bracelets on request.
How do I care for a solid gold bracelet?
Solid gold is one of the lowest-maintenance metals you can own. Warm soapy water and a soft cloth weekly keeps it bright. Remove the bracelet before applying perfume, hand cream or hair products, and before swimming in chlorinated pools (chlorine attacks the alloy in 9ct gold over time). Free professional cleaning and inspection is available at any of our studios in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth.
