What 1ct looks like on an ear

Carats are weight. The number that matters when you catch your reflection is millimetres. Tap a size to see how it sits.

Try each size

Every stud on this page is shown to actual size against a real ear. Tap a carat to see how it sits.

Rule of thumb: 0.50 to 1.00ct per stone reads as everyday. 1.50ct and up starts to catch light across a room. Below 0.25ct, most people will not notice you are wearing them.
The Closure

The clasp is the point of failure. Choose accordingly.

Every year, a lot of studs go missing. Almost never because the diamond fell out. Almost always because the back came loose. Pick the closure that suits how you actually live.

The Diamond

Cut for the way ears actually catch light.

A ring sits still on your hand and you look down at it. A stud moves. It sits in the arc your ear traces when you turn your head, when you laugh, when you lean into a conversation. The way it returns light has to hold up under that motion.

Every diamond in this range is a round brilliant, IGI graded for cut, polish and symmetry to the standard we apply to our engagement rings. The proportions that produce the pattern of white light and colour you actually notice.

Questions we get on this pair

Yes. A pair of 1.00ct studs is two 0.50ct stones, one per ear. Some retailers sell 1.00ct per stone as a "2 carat pair". We name every pair by the total weight across both stones. You will see both figures in the buy box above every time.
No, both studs and both closures come in the same metal and karat. This is a manufacturing decision, not a policy. Hand-finishing to match across four separate pieces means fewer inconsistencies over time.
Chemically and optically identical. Lab grown means the crystal was formed in weeks in a controlled chamber rather than over millions of years underground. The IGI report grades them on the same scale. Which one you choose is personal. For a stud that will be worn daily and read by other people at a distance, most of our customers pick lab grown at a size they would not otherwise reach.
These are made to order, roughly 35 days. If you need them sooner, message us and we will check current stock and workshop capacity.
Yes. Bring them in any time and we will exchange one or both stones into the same basket and closure. You pay the difference in stone cost, no setting fee.
