A round brilliant diamond, cradled between two diamond set bands
Capri does one thing no other ring in the collection does. Instead of sitting on top of a single band, the centre diamond is held between two bands that sweep past each other and close around it. The metal wraps the stone on two sides in a half rub over setting, so there are no claws over the top of the diamond at all. From above you see the full spread of the stone. From the side you see the two bands crossing.
Seen from directly above, those two bands arc around the centre stone and very nearly meet, so the ring reads as a halo. It is a halo made by the bands themselves rather than by a separate ring of stones set around the diamond, which is why the frame is open on two sides and why it moves with the shape of the ring instead of sitting flat around the stone.
Both bands carry diamonds. Between 38 and 48 of them depending on the ring size, 0.50 to 0.65ct in total, micro claw set so they sit flush with the metal. They follow the sweep of each band right around the crossover, which is what gives the ring its movement when it catches light.
The setting that cradles the centre stone is white gold or platinum on every version, including the yellow and rose gold bands. A white metal against the girdle keeps the stone reading bright rather than picking up warmth from the band. You choose the band colour: 14ct or 18ct gold in white, yellow or rose, or 950 platinum. Monroe Yorke is engraved inside the band.
Centre diamonds run from 0.50ct to 2.10ct. Choose natural, GIA certified, or lab grown, IGI certified. Both are sourced at the highest cut grade their respective labs award. The price difference between natural and lab grown is typically forty to sixty per cent at the same carat weight.

You like the look of a halo but not the sameness of one. Capri gives you the frame of diamonds around the centre stone without the closed pavé circle that most halo rings use, and the crossover is structural rather than decorative, so the ring is as wearable as a plain band.
