The simplest ring we make
The Love is a six claw round brilliant solitaire on a plain band. There is nothing else in the design. No accent diamonds, no halo, no shoulder stones. Six slim claws hold the centre diamond, the band sits cleanly across the finger, and the centre stone does everything else.
That leaves nowhere to hide. On a ring with pavé running down the band, a slightly off-centre stone goes unnoticed. Here the claws are the only thing on the ring, so they have to sit at exactly sixty degree intervals and match each other in taper. Our master jeweller finishes them by hand and checks the spacing from directly above before the centre goes in.
Six claws, not four
Round brilliants above a carat benefit from the extra anchor points. Six claws spread the load evenly around the circumference and read as a tighter frame than four. Above 1.5 carats we would steer you to six every time.
Choosing your metal
Available in 14ct or 18ct white, yellow or rose gold, or 950 platinum. The setting itself is always white gold or platinum, which keeps the claws reading neutral against a colourless centre stone whatever band you pick.
Platinum is the densest metal we work with. It holds claw tension longer than gold and never yellows. If your centre stone is above 1.5 carats it is the one we would recommend, and the premium over 18ct is smaller than most people expect. Below that, 14ct or 18ct gold is a perfectly sound choice at a lower price.
The setting starts at $1,599 in 14ct gold, $1,959 in 18ct, and $2,099 in 950 platinum. Your centre diamond is chosen separately at Step 2, GIA or IGI certified.
