The halo you only see from the side
Look at the Bella straight on and it reads as a clean oval solitaire. Nothing competing with the centre stone. Turn her hand, or lean in, and a band of 32 small diamonds appears underneath the setting where the metal meets the stone. That's the hidden halo. It works because it isn't on display.
This is the setting only. You choose the centre diamond yourself from our live inventory, natural or lab grown, GIA or IGI certified, and we set it for you. An oval sits longer on the finger than a round of the same weight and reads about ten per cent larger at the same price. If you're deciding between those two shapes, that's the number that matters.
The accent diamonds come two ways. Natural stones in F to G colour, VS clarity. Or lab grown in D to E, also VS. The lab option takes $420 off the setting at every metal, and at 0.015ct per stone nobody is telling them apart on her hand. We sell both and we don't push either.
Available in 14ct or 18ct white, yellow or rose gold, or 950 platinum. 14ct is harder and takes daily wear slightly better. 18ct holds richer colour and is what most of our customers choose. Platinum is heavier on the hand and white the whole way through, so it never needs re-plating.
Every Monroe Yorke ring goes through ten distinct stages over four to eight weeks. Design refinement. Three-dimensional modelling. Casting. Stone sourcing. Cleaning. Polishing. Setting. About eight hours of bench-level finishing. Quality control. And the final approval our master jeweller signs off himself. Made in Australia, ten stages, no shortcuts.
Who this ring is for
You want a solitaire silhouette and someone has told you halos are dated. The hidden halo settles that argument. From the front it's a solitaire. From every other angle there's light coming off the underside of the stone that a plain four-claw setting cannot produce. It's a detail for the person wearing it rather than for the room.
If you want the halo visible from above, look at our halo collection. If you want nothing at all beneath the stone, Maria is the plain four-claw version. The same design with a lab grown centre diamond already set is on the Bella lab grown page.
