A pear cut, held in an even halo
The pear is a hybrid shape. Round brilliant faceting on the curved end, marquise faceting toward the point. Worn with the point to the fingertip it lengthens the finger and reads larger on the hand than a round of the same weight.
The halo is where this design earns its keep. A pear is not symmetrical, so most halos around one end up uneven — smaller stones crowding the curve, larger ones stranded near the point. Ours graduates the accent sizes deliberately so the outline reads as one continuous line rather than a ring of mismatched stones. It is slower to set and it is the whole reason the ring works.
The halo and band carry 38 to 48 round brilliants, 0.35 to 0.40ct in total, micro claw set to sit flush with the metal. Choose natural or lab-grown for the accents at Step 1.
Available in 14ct or 18ct white, yellow or rose gold, or 950 platinum. Metal choice shows more on a pear than on a round, because the shape sits longer on the finger. White gold and platinum read cleanest under the halo. Yellow gold gives the warmest contrast against a colourless centre. Rose gold is the softest of the three.
Choose your centre diamond at Step 2. Pears show colour at the point more than most shapes, so we will talk you through where the grade actually matters here. Then we hand-finish the ring in our Australian workshop.
If you want a pear without the halo, ask us about a pear solitaire setting. For a halo around a different centre shape, see our halo engagement rings.

Care & warranty
Everyday wear
Your ring is hand-finished for daily wear. Take it off for the gym, contact sports, gardening, and heavy manual work. Diamonds are the hardest natural material but can chip on impact against another diamond or a metal surface. Chlorine from pools accelerates gold's oxidation over years, rinse the ring after swimming.
Cleaning at home
Weekly: warm water, a drop of mild dish soap, a soft toothbrush, and pat dry. Focus on the underside of the centre diamond and behind the setting, where skin oils collect and dull the light return.
Professional maintenance
Every 12 to 18 months at any of our four showrooms. Included in the lifetime warranty at no cost. We ultrasonic-clean, re-tip any worn prongs, polish the band, and inspect the setting under 10x loupe.
Resize policy
Complimentary resize within 60 days of delivery. After 60 days, resizes are $180 within Australia (we cover return shipping both ways). Turnaround is five to seven business days.
Warranty scope
Lifetime warranty covers workmanship, prong integrity, and metal wear. Does not cover accidental damage, loss, theft, or wear from harsh chemicals. Every warranty claim starts with a free inspection at any of our four showrooms or by mail-in.
