The ring you'd choose if you only ever wear one
A 4-claw solitaire is the simplest, most honest engagement ring we make. There's nothing to design around the diamond. Nothing else asking for attention. Four claws hold the centre stone, a delicate rounded band runs across the finger, and the diamond does everything else.
We open the four claws as far as they go without compromising the hold. More of the diamond is exposed to light from every angle. The pavilion sits clear of the band, so light enters through the table and exits through the table, the way a brilliant cut is designed to behave. Halos and hidden details are beautiful in their place, but they're not what this ring is.
The delicate rounded band is half a millimetre narrower than the standard solitaire band most jewellers cut. It feels lighter on the finger. It also makes the diamond read fractionally larger by the contrast.
Choose all 18ct yellow gold for a warm, traditional look, or an 18ct yellow gold band with a white gold setting if you want the warm hand and the white-gold claws under the diamond. White gold under a colourless centre stone reads brighter than yellow does. Both choices are correct.
Every Monroe Yorke ring goes through ten distinct stages over four to eight weeks. Design refinement. Three-dimensional modelling. Casting. Stone sourcing. Cleaning. Polishing. Setting. About eight hours of bench-level finishing. Quality control. And the final approval our master jeweller signs off himself. Made in Australia, ten stages, no shortcuts.

Who this ring is for
You don't want a ring that looks like it's been designed to be looked at. You want a ring that lets the diamond be the moment. Halos hide carats. Three-stone rings tell stories. A solitaire just says yes.
If your centre diamond budget is anywhere from one carat upwards, this setting carries it cleanly. If you want the same idea with six claws instead of four (slightly more secure for stones above 1.5ct), look at our Daylin solitaire at $2,269 for the setting.

No — the price shown is for the setting only, hand-finished in your chosen metal. After you confirm this setting, we'll take you to our diamond search where you can select a GIA or IGI certified centre diamond — natural or lab-grown — that fits this design.
What centre diamonds fit this setting?

When will my ring ship?
Every Monroe Yorke ring is hand-finished to order. Standard lead time is 6 weeks from the moment you confirm your centre diamond. Our dispatch days are Monday through Thursday — if the calculated date lands on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday, we dispatch on the following Monday.
Can I customise this ring?
The metal and karat are standard options — just select one above. For custom modifications like a different claw count, wider band, hidden halo, or mixed metals, book a free consultation and our master jewellers will quote the variation.
Are lab-grown and natural diamonds both certified?
Yes. Every diamond we supply is independently graded — GIA for natural diamonds, and GIA or IGI for lab-grown. The original lab report is shipped with your ring.
